Formed in Kansas City and recently relocated to San Diego, Gunfighter - who were formerly known as Molly McGuire - released their debut album, Sisters Of, on Chicago indie HitIt! Records. After the success of that release, they were signed by Epic Records and released Lime in 1998 which turned many heads and landed them on tour with several high profile bands including Tool, Girls Against Boys, The Jesus Lizard and the Lollapalooza Tour.

The band changed their name to Gunfighter and relocated to San Diego at the end of 2000. After having a song featured on the "Inhale" compilation on Spitfir Records with bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Crowbar and others, they signed with Idol Records. Produced by Ed Rose (Get Up Kids, Ultimate Fakebook, Reggie & The Full Effect), Pro-Electric is the first of two albums that will be released this year on Idol (they will release High Noon in April).

Gunfighter consists of the powerhouse frontmen lineup of Jason Blackmore (vocals/guitar) and Toby Lawrence (vocals/guitar), James Armbrust (bass), and Jason Gerken (drums). The band's sound is a mixture of melodic rock and pop with in your face vocals and guitar that's sure to make you listen twice.
